This is a variation of the classical cross-court & long-line drill.
There is nothing to set up, all the coach has to do is to explain the drill to his players (students). Both of the players start behind the baseline, in the Center. In the video, one of the players makes the first feed. The coach can of course decide to feed the first ball himself
Practicing with the coach:
In this drill one player starts the rally with a feed, this same player will be the one who starts going cross court (should the coach feed the ball, it is the first player who hits the ball, that goes cross-court). The coach explains to the players, that who ever is going long-line, changes direction on his third shot to cross-court. Of course the other player then takes the long-line role and does the same on his third shot.
At the beginning the coach decides who is going cross-court and who is going long-line. One of the player feeds the Ball, from then on it is clear. Play a controlled rally (remember that this is not a match).
Practicing with friends:
Easy, you only need a hitting partner. The only thing you won’t get is the coaches advice and tips.
